There are a few things that I would like to reflect on this week. When we were asked to brainstorm ways we would use the technology such as Wiki’s, Google Docs, and Blogs as administrators someday, I enjoyed coming up with my own and reading other ideas. I actually thought of some ideas that I could use now (instead of waiting until I was an administrator.) The articles were also beneficial, but the lecture was the most beneficial to me. I really felt I got the idea from the YouTube “How To” clips. I still feel shaky with using the different pieces of technology in this class. I consider myself a “somewhat” techie person and feel that more practice with using these tools is necessary. There are so many usernames and passwords to remember it can get very confusing.
Late last week I spent time researching for my Current and Emerging Technology Issue paper. It took me a while to find something that I was really interested in. Once I found the topic, I ran into a bit of a problem finding truly worthy articles. The librarian that I worked with mentioned that sometimes it is hard to find credible sources as much of my topic is new and still being researched. Either way, I was able to find my sources and I just completed my annotated bibliography. I am feeling as though I am pretty on top of things.

Jamie,
Great reflection! That is cool that you have been able to find immediate uses for the technologies we covered. Don't worry if you are still feeling shaky about the different pieces because you will be able to practice using them in this class and should make more sense once you have finished.
You brought up a good point about finding articles for the assignment. Since much of the technology is so new, it hasn't been around long enough for journals to cover the technology. It sounds like Theressa (the librarian)was able to point you in the right direction.
Todd :)
